She is not a statistic.
She is the story.

Naari is a movement that listens before it speaks. We work alongside women and girls across India to turn silenced experiences into structural change — through education, conversation, and care.

We don't speak for women. We pass the mic.

— The Naari Pledge

since 2023

A collective stitched together
by stories.

The numbers we
refuse to round down.

Each statistic is a person. A daughter, a sister, a self. We name them here not for shock, but so the work stays honest.

1 in 3
women experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.
62%
of girls drop out of school before age 16 in low-income districts.
₹0
of household income is owned by 4 in 10 married women in India.
84M
women left the Indian workforce in the last decade.

The crisis isn't the data. It's the silence around it.

Five promises, stitched in order.

01

Educate

Build curricula on consent, rights, and self-worth — for schools that won't otherwise teach them.

02

Amplify

Document and broadcast the stories of women whose voices the headlines skip.

03

Equip

Run vocational labs that turn skill into livelihood within six months.

04

Protect

Partner with legal aid and shelter networks to keep survivors supported, not stranded.

05

Sustain

Train a next generation of women organisers to lead Naari without us.

Six rooms of restless work.

Each program is run alongside the communities it serves — designed with them, not for them.

Program 01

Story Sundays

Monthly oral-history circles where women record their own narratives. Archived publicly, with permission.

Program 02

The Curriculum

Free, downloadable lesson plans on consent, finance, and rights — used by 40+ schools.

Program 03

Sakhi Helpline

A volunteer-run, vernacular crisis line operating 9am–9pm across 6 states.

Program 04

Livelihood Labs

Six-month vocational tracks: tailoring, digital literacy, micro-business, food enterprise.

Program 05

Campus Chapters

Student-led wings in 22 colleges running workshops, screenings, and policy advocacy.

Program 06

Field Research

Annual reports turning lived experience into evidence for policymakers.

Quiet numbers, loud lives.

"Every number a face we know."
